Prayer for Denmark and Greenland

Almighty God, we pray today for the community of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Denmark and Greenland. We give thanks that faith in your blessings on humanity has been spread through the centuries, including in these countries.

Lord, you see your children wherever you have allowed them to dwell. People live and believe in you, guided by the light of your Gospel, even where it seems difficult or almost impossible for us.

Give also to the peoples of the North the joy of your nearness and guidance. Awaken in them a hunger for your word and revive their faith. Let them celebrate your nearness and presence, give them strength and joy to live in an unstable climate. Strengthen them in the family of Christians around the world.

May the economic success of Denmark serve the happiness of the people and the deepening of their faith, we pray, Lord. May nothing separate the people of Denmark and Greenland from you and your blessings. Amen.
