Father God, Creator of all nations, we thank You for Finland and for its people. Take into your hands the fate of this country, which is inhabited by people with open minds, innovative hearts, who care about ecology and lead healthy lifestyles. Thank them for their joy and happiness, for a society that strives for the common good.
Support Lutherans in Finland. Help them to be a light in the darkness and a sign of love for those in need. Make them sensitive to the spiritual needs of the people. May the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland be a source of strength and comfort to its members and continue its diaconal work, bringing help to those who need it.
Strengthen interfaith and interreligious dialogue as well. May mutual understanding lead to peace and cooperation among different faiths. We ask you through Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen
