Prayers for LWF member Churches
From the 4th of September, Polish Lutherans will pray for Lutheran Churches around the world.
The preparations for the Thirteenth LWF Assembly, which will take place in September 2023 in Krakow (Poland) are underway. As the host Church, we are involved in various ways in its organisation. We also wish to keep parishioners informed about the preparations and to involve parishes in activities related to the Assembly. One of such initiatives is a prayer cycle for the LWF member Churches.
Lutheran World Federation has 149 churches in 99 countries, on seven continents. We often do not know much about Lutherans in distant parts of the world. The prayer cycle will enable us to find out how Lutherans live in different countries and to connect in prayer with member Churches, who will be informed that we are praying for them in parishes in Poland.
Each week, information about member countries and Churches and prayers written by pastors of the Evangelical Church of the Augsburg Confession in Poland will be sent to parishes. Prayers are also going to be published on the website luteranie.pl
The cycle begins on the 12th Sunday after Trinity i.e. on 4 September 2022.
