Prayer for Ukraine

Merciful God,

Today we want to encompass Ukraine, its people, and those from Ukraine with our prayers, especially Lutheran women and men in this country.

As we remember Ukraine, which has been touched by war and suffering, we ask for your guidance and support for all who experience loss, difficulties, and fear due to the conflict in this country and around the world.

Remember, God, those who have left their homes and homeland, seeking refuge and safety in foreign countries. Provide them with support and surround them with care in troubled times.

The increasing number of war victims and destruction brings us pain and sadness. We ask you to comfort and heal the wounds of those who have lost their loved ones and who experience the trauma of war.

Also, remember the Lutherans in Ukraine. May Your grace lead this community in serving the needy and building peace among people. May faith bring hope and light in the darkness of war.

God, we beg you for peace in Ukraine, peace in the world, and an end to all violence. Amen.
