Prayer for Malaysia

Our God and Father, You are always present in the lives of Your people, no matter where Your children are. Therefore, today we ask You to surround our brothers and sisters living in Malaysia. You are with them, just as You are with us in every moment and every matter.

We read with concern about the situation in Malaysia, the danger in which the people of the country find themselves, and the deepening degradation of the environment. Grant, Lord, that more and more people in this country will strive for peace and work for reconciliation. Be the inspiration of action to protect Your creation.

Lord, we believe that You are the only source of hope and salvation for us all. Therefore, we ask You to help the Lutherans in Malaysia, through Your grace and mercy, to become witnesses of Your love among other people. Give them wisdom and strength to communicate Your Word and proclaim the Gospel of Your Son, Jesus Christ. May they grow in faith and deepen their relationship with You.

We lay all this before You in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
