Prayer for Great Britain
Today we come to You in prayer for Britain.
Almighty God, You look upon Great Britain with a heart full of love and concern. We thank You for its more than 67 million inhabitants, each of whom is precious to You.
Today we come to You in prayer for Britain. We look with concern at the changes in the spiritual life of this country, at the skepticism towards faith. We beg You, God, for the conversion of the hearts of those who are moving away from You. Open their eyes to Your truth and love, let them experience Your closeness and understand that they are always welcome in Your home.
We pray for all Lutherans in the United Kingdom. May the Holy Spirit fill their souls with enthusiasm to preach the Gospel and love for all people. Bless the Lutheran Church in the UK, may it be a meeting place for people from different nationalities, languages and cultures.
We ask you, God, to surround Britain with your grace and mercy. May every citizen of this country experience Your love. For all this we ask in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
