Prayer for Germany

Dear Father,

We thank you for being the light in our lives. Today, we want to pray for Germany, a country with a rich cultural, scientific, and artistic tradition, the cradle of the Reformation. Here, the past and the future intertwine into one harmonious whole.

We ask you to bless German people and help them build a community based on understanding, respect, and love, let them find unity in diversity. Teach us also how to build good relationships between our nations, in times of division.

Guide the Lutheran Churches and let the testimony they give about Christ be a path for those seeking. Give strength and faith to Lutherans, that your love can overcome all difficulties. Bless the efforts of Lutheran Churches in Germany, engaging in diaconal work, education, and ecumenism. May this work bear fruits in the form of understanding, reconciliation, and peace.

Lord, protect the people of Germany from all dangers, grant them wisdom in decision-making, and strengthen their faith. May your light always guide them. In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, we pray. Amen.
