Our Lord, we come to you today to express our gratitude, especially for our sisters and brothers in Estonia. They form one of the largest religious communities in the country, and as the Lutheran Church, their influence extends not only to the lives of its members but also to the entire society.
Estonia, as a nation, emerged after World War I and has experienced various twists of fate. The Lutheran Church there has also had moments of growth and decline. Lord, we ask that you continue to strengthen it, affirming its believers in the certainty that you are a God of miracles who keeps your promises. Help them, in this secularized country, to be an example and encouragement to all who are seeking their way in this world. Grant that faith in you, the Only Lord and Savior, may shape new generations of Lutherans on this northeastern edge of Europe.
We implore you, Lord, for your protection, especially in the current geopolitical situation where our fellow believers in Estonia are exposed to threats from their closest neighbor, Russia. Do not allow anything to jeopardize their safety. We entrust them to your care, with confidence that you will guard and guide them.
