Prayer for Canada

Loving Father, we thank You that You are the God of love, grace and forgiveness. You alone make us sensitive to others, and the Holy Spirit reminds us to pray for our sisters and our brothers.

Driven by love for You and for one another, we come to You in prayer for Christians in Canada, including the Lutherans operating there. Lord, you know best their situation and context in which their Church is operating. We thank You for their service to the preaching of the Gospel, but also for their actions in areas such as indigenous rights, climate justice, human rights and support for refugees and migrants.

Please continue to be with them, bless their lives, their ministry, and all their churches, so that they may be a place of encounter with Christ. Grant them and all of us peace, harmony, mutual love, that we may live and act for Your glory and for the benefit of the people to whom You send us.
Hear us through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
