Prayer for Bangladesh
Gracious and merciful Lord, who remembers every one of your children and thinks of everyone, even the scattered, distant and few. To a handful people of Israel You said Your Words: “Do not be afraid. (…) I will help you. Your redeemer is the Holy One of Israel.”

We ask You that this assurance will also reach the ears and hearts of our sisters and brothers in distant Bangladesh. Everyday they struggle hard to earn their daily bread, their country is affected by crime, conflict, environmental disasters and exploitation.
Though they are so far from us, we embrace them with our prayers.
We ask you Lord to remember this handful. Give them hope, help and strength. May Your wonderful and soothing grace touch each one of them until they know what Your Son’s invitation means: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
