The Lutheran church in Skoczów belonging to the Diocese of Cieszyn is the second largest in Poland. Currently, the parish of Skoczów has about 3,650 members. The parish organizes various activities: Sunday schools, and youth meetings. music ensembles, children’s theatre groups and women’s meetings. The Catechetical House owned by the Parish runs a library, where one can borrow books, CDs, and films with religious content. Skoczow lies at the southern edge of the Upper Vistula Valley region, which is part of the Oświęcim Basin, and is one of the oldest towns in Cieszyn Silesia.
