Parish in Bytom belongs to the Diocese of Katowice, and unites about 120 believers. After World War II, Evangelicalism in Bytom suffered huge losses. Most parish members had to leave their places of residence. In 1945, the church was taken away from Lutherans, as well as the parish house with all its equipment and other facilities taken away with the help of the police. Only the former house of the deaconess sisters, where a kindergarten was run, and the cemetery remained in the possession of the Lutherans. The house of the deaconess sisters was adapted into a chapel, catechetical rooms and an apartment for the pastor. This remains to this day. The Parish will host LWF guests together with the Parish in Tarnowskie Góry.
