Greetings from the Presiding Bishop for Easter 2024
May this Easter bring us peace, love, and solidarity, which are so desperately needed in today’s world.

Easter 2024
But he said to them, “Do not be alarmed; you are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has been raised; he is not here. Look, there is the place they laid him. But go, tell his disciples and Peter that he is going ahead of you to Galilee; there you will see him, just as he told you.” Mark 16:6-7
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
In this blessed time of the resurrection of our Savior, once again we stand at the empty tomb and contemplate the depth of the mystery of Christ’s death and resurrection. We are accompanied in this time by the words from the Gospel of Mark 16:6-7, where the angel speaking to the women reminds us of the resurrection of Jesus, who triumphs over death, assuring us of hope for eternal life and the fullness of salvation.
However, as we look at the world around us, we cannot ignore the reality full of wars, unrest, injustice, and suffering. Often our hearts are filled with sadness and despair in the face of these events. In such moments, the words of the angel can be a message of hope to us: “Do not be alarmed! Do not be afraid!”
Easter reminds us that Christ has triumphed over darkness and death. His resurrection is a promise that evil and suffering do not have the final word. Even in the face of the most difficult circumstances, Jesus calls us to trust and faith. His resurrection gives us the power and strength to overcome all obstacles we encounter on our journey.
So let this Easter bring us not only joy in Christ’s victory over death but also renewed hope for a better world. May our hearts be filled with faith that love, justice, and peace will ultimately triumph over hatred, violence, and injustice.
Let us also remember that as a community of believers, we can be witnesses of God’s love and justice in our wounded world. Through our prayers, diaconal work, and social engagement, we can be a beacon of hope for those who suffer and need help.
May this Easter bring us peace, love, and solidarity, which are so desperately needed in today’s world.
Warm regards,
Bishop Jerzy Samiec
