World Exhibition in Wittenberg

The Reformation began 500 years ago, but it is a process that continues to shape the Church, society and the world. This is presented by the World Reformation Exhibition "Gates of Freedom", which was opened on May 20, 2017 in Lutherstadt Wittenberg.

Various churches from all over the world, international institutions and organizations wanting to present their contemporary view of the Reformation, are taking part in this process. The exhibition takes place throughout the city, in the so-called seven gates, each of which is devoted to a different theme: spirituality; youth; peace; justice and the integrity of creation; globalisation; culture; ecumenism and religion.

The Evangelical Church of the Augsburg Confession in Poland also participates in this campaign. We are preparing an exhibition under the title #LutheransInPoland, which will be shown in Wittenberg from 6 to 10 September.

By the use of words, images and interactive tasks, we want to present to the visitors of the exhibition Poland with its history, culture and heritage. We talk about famous Polish Lutherans and encourage the visitors to ask questions, but also ask for suggestions and ideas concerning the future of the Church.

The exhibition is prepared in three languages: Polish, English and German.

We cordially invite you to visit our exhibition. #LutheransInPoland
