Inauguration of the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation in Masuria
A Festive Worship Service
On April 10, a festive worship service was held at the Evangelical Church of the Augsburg Confession in Olsztyn to mark the 500th anniversary of the Reformation in the Masurian region.
The sermon was delivered by Bishop Paweł Hause from the Masurian Diocese,who reflected on the heritage of faith and the significance of the Reformation for the region’s local identity and spiritual legacy.
Following the service, Rev. Witold Twardzik gave a lecture on Bishop Polentz and his role in the history of the Reformation in the Duchy of Prussia.
The event was attended by representatives of local authorities, ecumenical guests, and members of congregations from across the region.
