Easter wishes 2021
May the Risen Lord strengthen in you the spirit of power, love and self-discipline, so that you are ready to take on the challenges of everyday life.
“For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self- discipline”( 2 Timothy 1,7).
These amazing words show that God is the master of communication. This short verse contains a kind of tutorial on how to act, which we can use many centuries after and adapt to what we are living today. How about translating it like this:
– do not fear for your health and your life, even though illness (not just the coronavirus) and livelihood insecurity are not
conducive to peace of mind. You are a child of God, you have the spirit of courage.
– remember that love has great power to do good, and many people need help now material and spiritual. You are a child of God, you have the spirit of action.
– self-discipline means "to have self-control". It is especially difficult when everything makes us nervous, frustrated and anxious, but remember that we are not alone here, that there are other people too. You are a child of God, you have the spirit of self-control.
