Easter greetings of Presiding Bishop
“Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead” (2 Timothy 2:8)
Dear Sisters and Brothers in Jesus Christ,
Memory can be fleeting. As time passes, many things slip away and begin to lose their importance. Yet when we reflect on God’s work, on the grace He has given us, and on Christ who died for us and was raised from the dead, we believe that none of this fades or loses its significance. Indeed, it can take on new meaning and transform our lives, especially when we feel lost.
Therefore, at Easter we are encouraged to remember the event that is fundamental to our faith: Christ died and was raised! He has changed our sinful condition, giving us hope that He makes all things new. Keeping the risen Christ in our hearts, we can change our lives, face what frightens us, recognize our sinfulness, and receive forgiveness.
Dear friends, I wish that the Feast of the Resurrection of our Lord may be for all of us a time of nurturing the memory of the Risen One and living out our faith in practice. May it be an opportunity to pause, to appreciate the gracious God, and to experience the joy of rediscovering that through Christ we have come to know true freedom.
A blessed and joyful Easter!
Presiding Bishop Jerzy Samiec
