Consecration of the new military bishop

Rev. Marcin Makula was consecrated as military bishop.

On 30th of January, Marcin Makula was consecrated as military bishop. Rev. Makula has been elected to this position by the Consistory of the Church and the Council of the Synod. Rev. Makula serves as minister in the Lutheran congregation in Golasowice and as president of the Brotherly Help under the name of Gustav Adolf in Poland. T

he Evangelical Military Chaplaincy in Poland was re-established in 1994 after a 45 year break. There are altogether 14 ministers involved in the Chaplaincy who are at the same time the parish ministers.

On the basis of agreements between the authorities of the Evangelical Church of the Augsburg Confession and the Evangelical-Reformed, Evangelical-Methodist, Christian-Baptist and Seventh-day Adventist Churches, the activity of the Evangelical Military Chaplaincy also covers the members of these Churches associated with the Polish Army.
