Ancestry Research
The Evangelical Church of the Augsburg Confession in Poland doesn’t keep in its Central Archiv record books. In general, Lutheran church records in Poland after 1945 have been kept in local parishes. Earlier records are often in state archives. It is possible to search state archives using the webpage Szukaj w Archiwach. This site was launched in 2009 by the Polish State Archives. They feature collections from all over Poland and are continuously being updated.
Some records are also kept in the Evangelisches Zentralarchiv in Berlin: Bethaniendamm 29, 10997 Berlin. Phone (030) 22 50 45 – 20, fax: (030) 22 50 45 – 40, archiv@ezab.de, ezab.de. It is possible to search the EZAB archive using a webpage. Archion is a cooperative project among the Evangelical Church in Germany (EKD) and the majority of regional protestant churches in Germany. Archion is also open to municipal, communal, and other church archives. The portal makes it possible to search for the ancestors in original sources.

Evangelical Church of the Augsburg Confession
Genealogia w Archiwach – a joint effort by the Torun and Bydgoszcz State Archives that was launched in June 2015. The site features scans from 450 registry offices, mostly in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian area. As of March 2016, they have 3.1 million scans from various books and civil records.
